Corsica and Celebs
by Russell Grant
Venus-caressed Corsica has long been an island of love for many Hollywood stars and royalty – it was in romantic Calvi on the north-west coast of the island where Pisces Elizabeth Taylor and Scorpio Richard Burton spent BOTH their honeymoons watching the fabulous Mediterranean sunsets from their Corsican love nest.
Grace Kelly, Scorpio and Prince Rainier, a Gemini, just like Kylie, made the short hop from Monaco to spend their nuptials also in Calvi. The A List is endless with Rod Stewart (Capricorn), Valentino (Taurus), Bruce Willis (Pisces) and Sylvester Stallone (Cancer): so you can see why Gemini Kylie has sent hubby-to-be cute Capricorn Oliver Martinez to scout for the perfect village church and vineyard to tie the knot. Back in February he hit the Corsican high road to find the ideal location, Capricorn's like Parisian Oliver will love the mountains and Kylie will find her roaming Gemini spirit grounded by the wild open spaces and craggy Corsican outdoors.
And don't lose heart if you're still looking for that perfect man, the Foreign Legion strut their stuff around Calvi even Cole Porter was said to have run away and joined the Legion, when actually he was in Paris doing his playboy thing. These romantic heroes who have starred on the silver screen have been billeted, yes in the flesh, in Corsica for over a decade now, so if you're into uniforms or just hot guys then head for the Corsican sun by following the link below…
